Philosophy of Care

Life can be a challenge when your emotions feel as though they have taken the driver’s seat.

I can teach you evidence-based tools that you can use in your daily life to take back control and start to build a vision for a better future.

If you are a parent of an adolescent or young adult looking for services that are LGBTQ and gender non-binary affirming that include you in treatment, I offer ways to engage with your child.

If you are experiencing illness or medical trauma, I can help you build resilience and hope.

If you have been struggling with issues relating to gender identity (transgender, non-binary, gender dysphoria) or sexual orientation (LGBTQ, bisexual / pansexual / asexual), I have experience and training to help you navigate your identity and find your place in the world.

My approach, informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), is a good fit if you are struggling with depression, anxiety, medical trauma, and gender dysphoria. We will work together to design a solution focused plan for you to get long-lasting results.

If you are a person of color (POC) or minority that is experiencing marginalization, bullying, or feel as though you must keep secrets about yourself from other people, we will work together on how you can gain more freedom to be yourself.

Many clients come to me feeling frustrated with traditional talk therapy, that is why I use informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) practices. I offer a validating environment that prioritizes solution focused goals using evidence-based tools.

For clients struggling with gender identity (transgender, non-binary, gender dysphoria), sexual orientation (LGBTQ, bisexual / pansexual / asexual), or medical trauma: I have many years of lived and professional experiences in these areas.

You won't need to educate me about your identity!
